Joining IIMHL

There is no direct cost to become a member of IIMHL

IIMHL, as our name suggests, is primarily intended for leaders of organizations involved in the mental health, addictions and mental wellness* sectors.  Please complete this form if you are:

  • a chief executive of an organization that provides mental health, addictions and/or mental wellness services
  • a community, consumer or family leader
  • an Indigenous or cultural worker in a leadership role
  • a policy analyst/developer/promoter in a leadership role in a government, educational institution or other non-government or private organization

Upon review of your information to ensure that you meet minimum criteria for membership in IIMHL, you will be automatically subscribed to the IIMHL / IIDL Update List, our email announcement server.  You will also be eligible for all other IIMHL benefits!   If you’d like for other members of your team to participate in IIMHL, you can add them later.

*Mental wellness is a term that describes a holistic view of health that promotes balance between the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of life and includes a secure sense of self, personal dignity, cultural identity, and a feeling of being connected.  Mental wellness is a concept that includes the full continuum of actions and services related to mental health and addictions, from community development to public mental health promotion to prevention, early identification, intervention, risk reduction, treatment and care facilitation.  We acknowledge First Nations and Inuit in Canada who have advanced and promoted the use of this term.
